Who We Are
Uganda Seed Trade Association (USTA) is a membership association formed in 1999 to coordinate and oversee the development of the seed industry and to enhance the availability of quality assured seed for the entire farming community locally, regionally and internationally. With a total of 18 ordinary members and 4 associate members, USTA covers 80 % of the seed companies registered and active in Uganda.
Members provide improved seed varieties of different crops including the following:- Cereals
- Legumes
- Oil Crops
- Vegetables
- Pastures
Members also supply other agricultural productivity enhancement products and equipments/impliments, including the following:
- Agro-chemicals (herbicides, pesticides, insecticides etc)
- Fertilizers
- Farm Tools & equipments/impliments.
